Hours:
The Vanier
Collegiate Library
is officially open from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM and is closed during the
lunch
hour. Unofficially,
often the
library is open earlier and closes later. If you need to use it
outside
of regular hours see Ms. Schneider.
- The
library is a
place to
study, use the computers and complete class assignments.
- Quiet talk
among students is
permitted as
long as it does not interfere withother students.
- Any
student or
students
wishing to verbally quiz or converse should go to Sion HallPlease
respect the rights of
others to
study, research or do homework quietly.
Registering
for Library
Cards and
Computer Access :
- All
Vanier
Collegiate students
must have a library card to check out books(although if you forget it
at
home you still may sign out books using your bar code number).
- All
Vanier
students must be registered with the library to
gain
access to
the computers.
- If
you don't have a user name see Mrs. Auger for help.
Returning
Materials:
- All materials
must be placed
through the slot in the check out counter. Do not place materials on
the counter and leave. We shelve materials left on the tables or
counter every day without running them
through the
computer. It is your responsibility to follow this procedure.
Food
and Drink:
- Food
(including
anything
from the vending machine) and drinks are not permitted in the library.
We will keep any food or
drinks for you behind the counter while you are in the library.
- Holy
Trinity Catholic School Division provides students and staff with email
accounts. The only
email provider is that of the school division. HotMail, MSN, Yahoo etc.
are blocked and cannot be
accessed through the school's computers.
- Each
student can obtain an
email
account with their
firstname.lastname.htcsd.ca as their user name.
- See
either Mrs. Auger or Ms. Schneider. Do not use another student's
account.
