Vanier Update

Good afternoon parents/guardians.

Please take note of a few item:
1) Our first School Community Council (SCC) meeting of the year is on Monday, Oct. 7 @ 7pm in the Library.  Please join us!
2) Sister Act tickets are now on-sale...click HERE for more information.  Our musical production takes stage from November 13-16 at the Mae Wilson Theatre.
3) All grade 10 students will be going to Church of our Lady on Monday, Oct. 7 for a full-day Faith Retreat.  Transportation and lunch will be supplied by the school.
4) All grade 11 students will be going to Church of our Lady on Tuesday, Oct. 8 for a full-day Faith Retreat.  Transportation and lunch will be supplied by the school.
5) Please have a conversation with your children about smoking and vaping.  This continues to be one of our largest health and safety concerns.  Take a moment to review our school policy:

Vanier Collegiate strives to provide a safe, comfortable and healthy environment for all students, staff, community partners, visitors and guests.  The school building and surrounding property (including the student parking lot) shall be free from the possession or use of tobacco, tobacco products and electronic “smoking” products (vapes, breezes, e-cigarettes, etc.).  In addition, students shall refrain from possessing or using these products while representing Vanier at any school-sanctioned events.

Violation of this procedure will result in immediate confiscation of products, parent/guardian contact and a warning letter on file.  Subsequent violation may result in suspension.
