Sunday, June 14

Good evening Vanier Grad 2020 families.

We are happy to provide details on our upcoming Graduation & Commencement events.  We have received approval from our School Division office and can ensure that our plans are within all provincial guidelines (Response Planning Team’s June 9 report and the Re-Open Saskatchewan’s June 11 update).

*****************************************

Monday, June 29 - Cap & Gown event:

Families will be required to pre-register for a specific 15 minute block between 9am - 9pm.  Pre-registration will be completed HERE on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Maximum of two graduates can sign up per time slot.  Please complete by Wednesday, June 24.

Graduates and up to 12 guests are invited to be at the school.  Pre-determined parking spaces will be provided in the student parking lot.

Graduates will be given their Commencement cap & gown upon arrival.

Graduates and guests will be ushered around the school into a queue system to ensure social distancing between groups.

A stage area will be placed in the front parking lot of the school.  (Weather permitting we will be outside to ensure greater safety for all participants).

Graduates will walk across the stage, receive their diplomas and event/award envelopes.

A photo area will be set up for pictures.

Graduates and guests will then be ushered back to their parking area in preparation for the next Graduate group to arrive.

Tuesday, June 30 - Virtual Mass and Graduation event:

Video links will be shared via email at pre-determined time(s) for families to enjoy at their leisure.

*****************************************

We thank you for your patience through this process to celebrate with your graduate.  Please note that there is no cost to families for this event.  All expenses will be covered by Vanier Collegiate and the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division.  We are excited to have the opportunity to bring all the Grads back to the school for a final opportunity.  Although this is certainly different than our traditional ceremonies, we are confident that this will be a memorable event to congratulate each of our 2020 Graduates.

More details will be shared in coming weeks.  We will have alternate arrangements if inclement weather is in the forecast.  We will continue to correspond with you via email and will update our webpage with all messages.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions that you may have.

Personally, I am so excited that we have been given the opportunity for a face-to-face event.  I am looking forward to celebrating with each graduate and yourselves.
