Dear Parents/Guardians,
Thank you for your support and cooperation in keeping our schools safe and our students and staff healthy.
As part of our ongoing work with Public Health and supporting their understanding of illness levels in our community, we will be asking an additional question when you call to report an illness for your child. We will be asking ‘Is this illness related to respiratory symptoms?’. Those symptoms include those associated with chest cold, cough, flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, croup. Each week we will be reporting the numbers of absences for in our school related to respiratory illness. This will include both students and all adults who work in the school. We will not be providing any names, grade, or any other identifying information to Public Health.
We anticipate this data collection to continue through the winter and into the spring. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call us at any time.
